No, I’m not a baker.
I’m a Canadian writer and editor currently living in Belgium. My first book, The Melting Queen, is a queer alternate history novel set in my hometown of Edmonton. I’m currently working on my second novel, and writing short stories, nonfiction essays, and poems along the way.
I also work as a professional communications officer, with expertise in copywriting and editing, multimedia content production, public speaking, and communications strategy. This work has taken me to places like the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Toronto City Hall, and the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton.

My first novel was released on the First Day of Spring by NeWest Press. The Melting Queen is an ambivalent love song to my hometown: Edmonton, Alberta - an unsung city that longs to be “world class” but doesn’t quite know how to get there.
